## Explanation of your results

How to understand results. Read and get better equipped for training.

##### Left/Right rotation

Why is it important to know how much you ride left and right?

• This indicator is usefull when would like to know if your training is balanced in every gait.
It is always difficult to be aware of how much left and right riding you did in every gait. As an equestrian,it often happens that one rides to much on the good side, but some times we on purpose choose to train the "bad" side too much, but still not balanced.
An unbalanced training, if repeatedly performed can result in unbalanced muscle strength and coordination.
• How do we calculate this?
Every stride sequence the horse performs, is pooled in either Straight, Left or Right gait. In every detected stride, we sum up how many degrees the horse has rotated. If this sum is below a pre-defined limit, the stride will be defined as Straight.
Thereby we present you with the percentage of straight, left or right handed riding in every gait.
##### Symmetry index

What is movement symmetry?

• To be symmetrical, in its essence, means that the horse front and hind limb is used equally when performing walk or trot in a straight line. Remember when you have a somewhat lame gait, we do not put as much weight on the injured leg as the healthy leg.
a healthy horse, riding straight, on a plane surface, should have minimal asymmetry, compared to the horses regular symmetry.
• Why is this important?
When most lameness injuries affects the horse with pain, the horse will carry less weight on this leg. If a lameness injury is not found in time, it can have greater consequences for the horse and the training planned ahead.
• How is it calculated?
Symmetry index is calculated for every walk and trot stride, by examining left and right hindlimb effects on the horse. ArionSensor tells the difference between left and right hindlimb hoof contact phase, how much the horse pushes off forward, along with the duration of each stride.
ArionSensor calculates only symmetry index when the horse moves forward in a straight line, and only when you placed the sensor on the lower back.
##### Gait

Why know how much you ride in each gait?

• You never thought about how your training session is divided into gaits? And whether you ride the same amount from session to session. ArionSensor is the perfect log book to automaticcaly record this.
• Why is this important?
When you plan a training, it is important to know which kind of training you strive to perform. With ArionSensor you can now track to see if you follow your planned training sessions.
So if you planned on training a lot of trot and strive to keep track of the trot stride frequency, it is now easy to actually now if you trained enough minutes.
• How is it calculated?
Each stride sequence is defined by a smart algorithm, developed to recongize your horses movements patterns.
After your first training session, the phone will get updated with unique parameters, which optimize the algorithms specifically for your horse.
• How precise is it?
When the sensor is placed on the lower back of your horse, ArionSensor will detect the gait op to 98% percent of training session. So only 2 out of 100 strides where not defined.
This might be where the transition is, as the horse moves irregular from one gait to another. Or if the horse reacts to sorroundings, and makes weird movements.
Whatever your horse height might be, you will, after the first training session, get most precise data from ArionSensor, thanks to the smart calculation method which goes on in the cloud each time you upload data.

## How we present data on our web service

ArionSensor brings you all kinds of information.

## Overview

Get an overview of your training sessions with this easy to understand table.

Click on a training session for go deeper into every training.

## Transitions and jumping

The graphs describes in detail how many jumps and transitions you have had in every training session.

## Time and Intensity

Take a quick look on how long you have trained the several last training sessions, and how intensive they have been.

## Gait information

We present an easy to understand way to know how much standing, walk, tror and canter you did under every training session.

## Right/Left handed riding

Find out if you ride as much left as right.

Follow you history, and get to know more about you daily training, and how much left and right handed riding you have within every gait.

## Symmetry index

The symmetry index can help you understand your training, and know if a lameness situation can occur beforehand, with informatino in changes in walk and trot symmetry.

It is important to have multiple measurements of the horses symmetry index, to know when a measurement "stands out" from normal behavior.

Remember, if you need to evalute the symmetry of your horse, you need multiple measurements of your horses normal gait characteristics, to be able to know if anything changes out of the normal.

## Gait characteristics

ArionSensors implemented algorithms, detect, and calulates every stride ridden in every training session.

## Left/Right handed riding

At every training session, ArionSensor presents in every gait, how much left and right handed riding you did.

## Symmetry index

Observere if an injury is on the way. The Symmetry index can help you indentify sudden changes in regular movment pattern, which might result in an injury.

Information about whether you horse pushes of with the same amount on left and right hind legs. The stride duration, and how much vertical "force" the horse allows on each hind legs.
